The Olympic games!!

by Yuka Nakamura
(Tokyo, Japan)

Talking of Brazil, the Olympic Games will be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. I think that when you heard the name of Brazil, many people thought of the Olympics.

The 31st Summer Olympic Games will start on August 5th, and last for 16 days. It is the first time that the Summer Olympic Games will be held in South America.

In this Olympics, there are new events: rugby and golf. Especially, golf returns to the Olympic events for the first time since 1904. I like Ryo Ishikawa very much who is a Japanese famous golf player.

Also, I heard in the last class that the most popular sport in Brazil is soccer, but I don’t know anything about soccer. It was very shocking.

I’m looking forward to seeing these games from now. I hope to see the impressive games like the London Olympics. And, I also hope that the 32nd Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo.
