An Unfamiliar Region For Me -- Northern Ireland

by HU SHUGUANG
(Chofu, Tokyo, Japan)

Northern Ireland is separated from mainland Britain by the Irish Sea.

In a population of 1.5 million, nearly 60% are under 40, which is great news to me.

The dynamics of Northern Ireland's conflict and ethnic conflict once made me feel unsafe. However, I learned that people of Northern Ireland are very kind and hospitable, which is also good news for me.

Northern Ireland is also famous for her wonderful music and dance. It is a dance called the hard shoes dance, which is very enthusiastic.
