The beautiful Great Barrier Reef

The beautiful Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is the beautiful seashore area in the northern part of Australia. This place has many corals and many fishes. So it is the most famous place for sightseeing in Australia.

The beauty of this sea is too beautiful to see from space. It was authorized as a world heritage site in 1981. The colorful fishes and corals fascinate a lot of tourists. And it was introduced in Walt Disney's movie, "Finding Nemo."

Many people at the Great Barrier Reef work in the tourism industry, making full use of its beauty. Examples are scuba diving and sailing.

But we should know about the danger that this beauty might disappear. The Great Barrier Reef has problems like the corals becoming white and maybe dying in this area because of global warming.

We should think about how to protect nature at the same time we visit and enjoy the sea.
