Rainforests

Brazil is South America’s giant, which shares a border with almost every other country in South American and covers almost half the South America continent. Brazil is an attractive country of enthusiastic samba, white-sand beaches, pristine rain forests, and its biodiversity.

Almost half of Brazil is covered by the basin of the Amazon River, a region that is one of the world's largest rainforest areas, which includes the greatest collection of plant and animal species.

Last year I saw a movie about Brazil... "Rio," a 3D computer-animated musical adventure-comedy film. It tells the story of Blu, a male blue macaw raised in Minnesota as a pet, who is taken to Rio de Janeiro to mate with a female blue macaw with a free spirit.

Unfortunately they were kidnapped by a bird smuggler. He eventually falls in love with her, and together they escaped from the smuggler and have a happy life. It is a colorful, funny movie full of samba, pizazz, and "Brazil style."
