Christ the Redeemer

Christ the Redeemer

The first image that would come up when mentioning Brazil would be a lively scenery of a festival, and people dressed up in colorful fancy costumes dancing along the street. Carnival is an annual festival which originally was a cerebration before Lent, the period in the Christian Liturgical year, usually lasting for one week and ending at the beginning of Lent. The Brazilian Carnival, like we all have seen in travel or documentary programs on television, attracts the world by their brilliant parade which combines many groups dancing or playing music.

On another view, out of the scenery of the busy joyful parade, there is an amazing peaceful sacred place - "Christ the Redeemer." From many photos I got from Google's search results, I could feel a faith from the group who devoted to build such an impressive statue. It has been said that the support of building the statue mainly came from Brazilian Catholic donations. The statue looks so great and so merciful at the same time. The photo above is the one of the most impressive photos which I got from Google search results. Even though I'm not a Christian, I also hope I can get a chance to visit such an emotional place.

Moreover, if talking about Brazil we cannot end without mentioning the Amazon River, one of the longest rivers in the world. It takes second place after the Nile River in Egypt. If you are one of the persons who love discovering nature, a trip to the Amazon is the one you shouldn't miss. It has been said that the Amazon is like a home to a variety of many unique creatures!!!

Finally, I would like say thank you for reading my viewpoint. If there are any mistakes from my ignorance, please do not hesitate to tell me. : )
