Kelly, arriving @ the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station (Yoshida trailhead) by car is discouraged due to the environmental impacts and limited parking. Plus, the Fuji Subaru Line toll road is closed to private vehicles thru this Sun. 8/31.

If you must come by car, I'm afraid I can't be of much help, except that access to the Fuji Subaru Line toll road is via the Kawaguchiko Interchange (IC) on the Chuo Expressway or Fujiyoshida Interchange on the Higashi Fujigoko Toll Road.
