Do you know if there are any mountain equipment rental shops in Gotemba?

Hello Gary,

I sent the same message to your Facebook, but I wanted to send it to you again on this format. My wife and I are travelling to Gotemba to hike Mount Fuji on the Subashiri trail the first week of August. Do you know if there are any mountain equipment rental shops in Gotemba? We would only need hiking poles, gators, and rain pants. We are also staying at the Mars Garden Wood hotel in Gotemba. Please let me know whenever you get the chance!

I'm not aware of any.

Shoumen, I'm not aware of any, but equipment is not my forte, so I'm not a very reliable info source. :-)

You might try the online rental shops listed here: https://www.garyjwolff.com/climbing-mt-fuji.html#43

Kobe Outdoor Rental has done a lot of advertising recently: http://mtfujirental.com/

You might also try posting your question in the "Hiking in Japan" Facebook group:

Have a nice hike...

Cheers,
Gary
