Enviable Welfare System in Switzerland

by Deng Qilin

If one refers to the country which has the best welfare system, Switzerland will always be the answer.

People who travel to Switzerland will not just envy the amazing beautiful natural scenery there, but also the leisurely and relaxed life there. The Swiss do not care how much they earn -------what they pay attention to is the quality of their life. Due to the relatively sound social welfare system, everybody------from the government officials to the common people------can lead a comfortable life.

I guess, if the Swiss come to work in another country, they will not be used to it. In Switzerland, overtime working seldom happens. In order to protect employees' rights, finishing one's work punctually and closing business during non-business hours are to be clearly defined in the Swiss law. So if the working time will be 9:00 am - 10:00 pm, such as what happens in some countries, Swiss people will get crazy about it.

In Switzerland, taking a rest is the most important right. "A person who knows taking a rest can work well" is almost a motto of the Swiss. And I love this motto.
