How to get from Highland Fuji-Q Hotel to Subashiri 5th Station?

by NT
(Thailand)

My husband and me with our 3 year old daughter are traveling from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko on the 18th and leave on 20th from the area. We have booked the Highland Fuji-Q hotel for 2 nights to entertain our daughter.

Problem we are having is: we both want to plan out how we can alternate and do the Mt. Fuji trek. Seems like none of the guides accept us if we join their tour midway (not from Tokyo).

We only found one company who allow this, and so we booked the Subashiri trail from them for the 19th for one person so that at least one of us could go. Could you help out with logistics on how to reach the Subashiri 5th station from our location at Fuji Q Highland?. Also, if there is a possible way we can both still do this alternately.

An amusement park babysitter? (my rates are cheap!) :-)
by: Gary Wolff

Hi NT,

Wow, that's a challenging dilemma. I'm not that familiar with the Mt. Fuji tours, but it doesn't seem possible for you both to climb Fuji without extending your stay or hiring an amusement park babysitter so you can both climb it together. :-)

Sorry I couldn't help with that. As for how to get from Highland Fuji-Q Hotel to the Subashiri 5th Station, I found this access map for Fujikyu Highland: http://www.japanican.com/hotels/accessmap.aspx?st=4300001#shisetsumenu

...and here is access info for reaching the Subashiri 5th Station:

Have a nice trip!
