Soyuz

Today's Russia started from the end of the Soviet era. In the Soviet era, it had strong power and technology. Actually, Soviets made a lot of great spacecraft: the Soyuz series, Mir, and Buran. The Soyuz series are satellites.

It is a surprising fact that the Soyuz series is still working today. The Mir was a space station. I think Buran was the most interesting spacecraft because it seems to be a Space Shuttle, and it was designed before the Space Shuttle was designed.

Soviets had great technology, however in the Western bloc the image of the Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc was dark, poverty, and awful.

I am interested in what Eastern Bloc people thought about countries and people in the Western Bloc. Did they regard Western Bloc countries as bad countries? Maybe our parents may know about the era.

Please comment here and tell me what they thought about the opposite side countries or what you think about the era.
