The Beautiful Landscape in "The Lord of the Rings"

by Mitsuru Ito
(Tokyo, Japan)

Everyone knows that New Zealand has a great landscape. I learned it through a movie, although I've never been to New Zealand. When I was a junior high school student, I went to a movie theater to watch "The Lord of the Rings" with my friend.

On the screen there was beautiful nature, big mountains, valleys, and so on. We were fascinated with the scenery, and I was impressed more by the great views than by the story.

Since we watched the movie, we have hoped to visit New Zealand. We will be there someday.

Thanks, Mitsuru, for your nice recommendation of "Lord of the Rings." I read the books, but have never seen the movies.

So I want to see the movies soon, thanks to you. And like you & your friend, I also hope to visit New Zealand soon !

Cheers,
Gary
