The City of Lions

Singapore seems to me an interesting place because of the different cultures which are formed. I would like to travel to Singapore and to learn a bit about its history and how it is that among various cultures with different traditions, ideologies, cuisines, etc. have been unable to find how to develop a whole new nation.

Besides, the food must be great because having to have knowledge of various cultures, the food should be diverse and delicious.

It would be interesting to find out the language in which people speak or if there are different languages in one place.

I read a little about this country and I found it curious the Sanskrit word Singapore, where singha means "lion" and pure means "city", so it translates as Singapore Lion City. What is curious is that lions may never have inhabited the country.

In order to investigate, someday I will travel and find out who gave it the name, and it must have a great story behind it which I would love to know.
