The Future

by Ryosuke Tanaka
(Hyogo Prefecture)

Saudi Arabia is an oil-rich country. The citizen may enjoy an affluent life which is brought by oil production. However, conversely Saudi Arabia is a petroleum-dependent country. I will explain why I say that.

What would they do if their oil dries up or oil is not needed all over the world because of a new energy revolution after 100 years ago. Accordingly, I think it is dangerous to depend on something. Citizens may not think completely how to make a breakthrough or how to bring about innovation because of too much abundance.

And yet the same thing applies here in Japan too. Japan became a great economic power rapidly after World War 2, but presently Japan's economy is declining gently in the midst. I do not think this will be reversed again.

Therefore, we have to realize that that age finished already. And I am looking forward to fighting with the difficult society.
