Yew Tunnel at Aberglasney Gardens

The Yew Tunnel is located in Aberglasney Garden, which is set in the Tywi Valley, Carmarthenshire, West Wales. The Yew Tunnel is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Wales.

The Yew Tunnel has a long history, and was planted during the eighteenth century by the Dyer family. When the yew trees had grown tall, they were bent over to form an extended arch to create a tunnel.

The yew trunks spread and their branches fused, so today it is hard to count how many separate yew trees are in the tunnel.

Oh to be back in Wales, all my family was Welsh and I am the lone relative alive that is "pure" Welsh. Still have the warming pan from the family Pub. It was (is) haunted so the story goes. in pictures there is Always somebody in the upstairs window, even when all were out watching the photographer!
