Where to start climbing Mt. Fuji from the base?

hello. i think a big part of doing this for me is to -do it-. i want to climb the whole thing, not just from the popular station 5 to top. is it possible to get transport to station 1 and trail all the way up to 5 and on? thanks!

The original Yoshida Climbing Route starts from the base of Mt. Fuji @ the Fuji Sengen Shrine (elev. 850m), but many climbers hike from Umagaeshi (located just below the 1st Station) from where it only takes two and a half hours to reach the 5th station.

Bus service is available to the Fuji Sengen Shrine, and up the road to Naka-no-Chaya and Umagaeshi, from Mt. Fuji Station (formerly Fujiyoshida Station).
