Can I purchase a Mt. Fuji climbing stick outside of Japan?

Is there any place other than Japan (online?) to purchase a Fuji stick? With or without stamps. I am trying to find a replacement Fuji Stick for my brother.
Thanks

Reply: That's an interesting question, but I'm afraid I can't help you. To my knowledge, although they sometimes show up on eBay, the only place to purchase Mt. Fuji climbing sticks, commonly referred to in Japanese as a kongozue (金剛杖, pilgrim's staff), is on Mt. Fuji itself.

This page has many pics of the different kinds of stamps you can get on your Mt. Fuji climbing stick: http://www.clubgets.com/fujitozan/stamp.html

But if any future visitors to this page have any info to assist with this inquiry, I hope you'll be kind enough to add it in the commenting section below, thanks...

Cheers,
Gary

Lost fuji stick
by: coolsak21@yahoo.com

I lost my Fuji walking stick with all of my stamps on it back in August. I am so upset because it was also when my fiancé proposed to me at sunrise at the top of mt. Fuji, so it made it even more special. he had put it up on top where we put luggage when got on a train from seeing the Himeji castle to Osaka. we ran off the train and forgot we put the stick up there and until we got off and then the train left. we told lost and found right away, but they were no help. if anyone is able to help, please let me know. thank you.

Try the nearby TICs
by: Gary Wolff

Heather, I doubt the Fujikyuko Railway has English service in their lost and found office, so you might try these nearby tourist info centers to see if they can help:

Fujiyoshida Tourist Info Center: 0555-22-7000

Kawaguchiko Tourist Info Center: 0555-72-6700

Best wishes...

LOST 7/16/2016
by: HeatherChelle

Lost my Fuji Hiking stick at Higashi-Katsura Station July 16, 2016. It had a gap between the bottom stamp and the rest of the stamps.

I'm so upset. If anyone happens to find it please email me! Or if you're going out there soon maybe check with the station if they have it. I've tried unsuccessfully calling the station.

I'm willing to pay shipping obviously. I'm very upset, it was my one souvenir.

My email is: heathermichelle@me.com

Thanks y'all!

available Fuji pole
by: DrEvel1

I notice some interest here in Fuji sticks. I am about to put my father's stick on Ebay. He did the climb in 1954, and it has the bells and flags etc. But I'd also be open to a private sale rather than ebay if appropriate. Thanks!

ISO climbing stick to replace lost one
by: Anonymous

I climbed Mt Fuji in 1978 when I was about 13 years old. We had just moved to Japan. Somewhere along the way with our many military moves, my stick got lost. Anyone have one for sale from about that time? I also got the sunrise stamp, so that would be a bonus if I found a stick with that as well.

Need Flag from Fuji-San Peak

Hi...I climbed Fuji a long time ago. I still have my walking stick but the flag has been moth eaten. To this day, it's one of my proudest possessions and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get another flag.

Mount Fuji walking stick
by: Anonymous

Looking to buy a used Mount Fuji Walking Stick for my daughter-in -law. Her father (who has passed away) climbed Mt Fuji and had a walking stick, I think it had some burn marks on it and so forth. Anyway her stepmother disposed of it without my daughter-in-laws knowledge and she wanted to keep it. So her birthday is coming up and would so like to get one for her.
please email me if you can help marthagruber@sbcglobal.net
