Chicken Fried Steak

One of my absolute favorite American southern dishes is chicken fried steak. It is a wonderfully delicious meal usually consisting of beef, which is then battered and deep fried. It's served so that the crispy shell is easy to break apart, and perfectly compliments the meat's seasoning.

Usually, the dish is accompanied by mashed potatoes and corn. One of the things I miss the most about the South is the white gravy that is poured all over the potatoes and the chicken fried steak. My mouth is watering right now! If you ever make a trip to Oklahoma, DEFINITELY make a trip to Classen Cafe in OKC for some of their chicken fried steak.
