Chinese New Year

by Steve

For all Chinese people, crossing the year is not the biggest day. The Chinese New Year is the biggest day for all Chinese people.

In the Chinese New Year, all the family will get together and welcome the New Year's coming. People will buy new clothes, and it is called "Without discarding the old one, the new would not be coming." So people will clean the house and change some things to the new one.

People will eat dumplings (餃子), and if you eat dumplings, it means you grow up one year older. Everyone on that day will say "恭喜發財," the meaning is "Wishing you prosperity!" And the most important thing is, the Chinese New Year will have at least a one week holiday for everyone!!
