Climbing to the Mt. Fuji summit October 8, 2016

Ok so....I have one shot at this and I am trying my best to make it work weather permitting. There are two of us who are both experienced hikers and are comfortable winter camping. Our goal is to hike up in the afternoon, spend the night near the summit then summit for sunrise. we are traveling through Fuji and the days of October 8-9 to do this.

Question 1. What trails will be best for this time of year and will they have sleeping huts available ( yes I know technically its closed for the season but I know some routes are open for winter sports etc)

Question 2. Is there a park department or warden that we should make aware of our plans, timeline etc?

Question 3. Due to the time in the season how can the preferred trail be accessed? train? bus taxi? we are staying in Fuji.

thank you any advice is appreciated.

John

"Although it is possible to climb Mt. Fuji outside of the official climbing season (with permission from the Yamanashi Police Dept.), it is not recommended, as most facilities, including most mountain huts, are closed; weather conditions are unstable and unpredictable; rescue personnel are limited, climbing conditions may be extremely hazardous; and public transportation access is minimal."
