Do you think I can climb Mt. Fuji or just be happy at the highest transport stop?

by Marc David Weintraub
(Oahu, Hawaii USA)

Aloha from Oahu, Hawaii.

I'm 61 years old with some asthma and old knees that have undergone several cartilage operations, 6 feet tall and about 220 lbs, slightly overweight but not obese.

Would it be advisable to get transportation to the highest point then start climbing? Do you think I could climb Mt. Fuji or just be happy being in its presence at the highest transport stop.

I've done a lot of hiking in my youth but never something like this..
I'd love to do it I just don't know if I can....Your opinion sir...

Mahalo and aloha from Marc David (mahalo is thank you)
