England Football

The England national football team is popular and is the oldest in history. The first time to have an international football match was in 1872. Although they joined the FIFA World Cup as an England team, I wonder why they don’t join it as team UK.
I think they joined it by themselves so that they can maintain their national side. Even though they have the oldest history about football, it's only once for them to have been champion so far. I hope they’ll get first place in the next World Cup.
