From the east coast to the west coast

I have never been to the USA, although my great-aunt lived in New York. Sadly she passed away a few years ago. She was a painter and sculptor and some of her works are now exhibited in the national art museum in Estonia and also in the US embassy.
Sometimes I find myself dreaming about driving from the east coast to the west coast along the famous Route 66. I guess in Europe, United States is most famous for Hollywood movies, pop singers, and of course fast food.
