Hi Gary,

It is nice to read your writing about Mount Notori. I am planning to climb Mount Kita-Aino-Notori next month.

Do you know how we can book the Notori-goya mountain hut? Can we book the hut through email?

Amelia, according to the Notori-goya mountain hut website, reservations should be made by phone (Tel: 0556-48-2533). They’ll ask for your name, phone number, the number of people in your party, and which dates you wish to stay.

Many Japanese mountain huts don't have English speakers, but if you speak slowly in very clear easy English, hopefully there won't be any major communication issues.

"Reservation" in Japanese is "yoyaku." (pronounced yoh-yah-koo)
