Mt. Suisho-dake (水晶岳) & Mt. Washiba-dake (鷲羽岳) Schedule & Expenses

As can be clearly seen from my Mt. Suisho-dake & Mt. Washiba-dake schedule & expenses shown below, these mountains were a real snap to get to from Tokyo.

I did the climb during my Obon holidays, leaving on Sunday morning Aug. 10, 2003 and coming back home on Tuesday night, Aug. 12, 2003.

But compared to the other peaks I've climbed in Japan, it was a bit above average in cost. The total trip cost was over 45,000 yen (around $385 at the time), including a 7300 yen taxi ride to get from the trailhead back to the station after finishing my hike.
