My friend went to Canada

by Yasufumi
(Saitama, Japan )

Though I haven’t visited Canada, a friend of mine went to Canada to study when he was in high school. I heard from him about Canada. He said to me ‘they are kind people and have beautiful nature.’ One of the beautiful places in Canada he said is Niagara Falls, which is very powerful and nice.

He also said there are many delicious foods, for example maple syrup. Most maple syrup is made in Canada. Because he bought for me maple syrup as a souvenir, I have eaten it and pancakes drowned by the maple syrup is very great. And I heard other interesting stories from him.

I think he had a good experience because he has learned what he didn’t know. I would like to study abroad because studying abroad makes me broaden my mind. And I can eat good food in another country.
