My Priceless Experiences in America

by Eriko T.
(Tokyo, Japan)

I spent my spring break in Eugene, Oregon. I attended a special program at the University of Oregon and did a homestay for the first time in my life!!!!! I was wondering what my host family would be like and if I would get along with my host family.

However, when I met my host mom, I realized that I didn't have to worry about it. She always has a smile on her face and she is very friendly and generous!!!!!!!! :) ♥

And a girl from China was staying with her and the girl was the same age as me and students at the University of Oregon. We became pretty good friends. I've been studying Chinese for two years and it helped me communicate with her.

We spent a lot of time together having dinner, talking, watching movies and DVDs, going shopping, and going to the gym.

At university I met a lot of new international friends and nice teachers. On weekends my classmates and I visited beautiful places in Eugene or Portland. I had a really wonderful time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) ♥

Time flies so fast when I am having fun......
Through my homestay experience, my English greatly improved.

I was very lucky to stay with my host family. The experiences were PRICELESS and AWESOME. ♥ I'll never forget the good times I had.

What I like about America is that people are very friendly and generous toward others!!!!! What do you think about it? :) ☆

Thank you very much for reading!!!!!!!
