Neighborhood

by Wiebke (Wiwi)
(Bremen, Germany)

Switzerland is one of the neighbour countries of Germany. Their residents near to the German border are the only foreigners who come to Germany to buy petrol. The price for petrol in Germany is really high, but in Switzerland it’s even more expensive. But petrol isn’t the only expensive thing. All everyday products are pricier, which leads to higher living expenses compared to Germany.

Besides the fact that Switzerland is a rich country, they speak four different languages: French, Italian, German, and Romansh. But in the ears of us Germans, their German dialect sounds very funny, and I think it is the funniest German dialect! Even if a Swiss is angry and shouts at you, you cannot stop to smile or laugh. But that does not mean the Swiss are unkind!
