Saudi Arabia's Political System

by Yudai
(Tokyo)

Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy. That’s an autocracy. But it is not good or wrong. The Middle East and Muslim nations have many autocracies. Examples are Egypt, Libya, Syria, and so on.

Moreover, they adopt democratic elections. It is considered that they choose their system. So we don’t say simply that an autocracy is wrong.

It is important that we know its history and culture and international position. We adopt various systems. They are not always mostly good. That is, we need to evaluate them for the future.
