South Africa

by Ge Juan
(Tokyo)

As its name says, South Africa lies on the southernmost tip of Africa. Different from the poverty of the majority of African countries, South Africa is the most economically developed country in Africa, which is rich in natural resources, especially in mineral resources. The beautiful Cape of Good Hope and the animal kingdom is well known.

Mandela joined the black liberation in his youth, and led a struggle campaign against the racist regime of South Africa. Then he was jailed for nearly 30 years, was elected president after his release from prison, and won the Nobel Peace Prize.

South Africa has one of the highest crime rates in the world, and many foreigners in South Africa have been hijacked, so please be careful when you are in South Africa.
