Table Mountain

Table Mountain

Table Mountain is without doubt one of the main tourist attractions of South Africa. Regarded by many as one of the phenomenons of modern times, it was recently chosen by the internet community as one of the seven wonders of nature worldwide.

Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain located in Cape Town, South Africa. I think it is called ‘table’ mountain because its flat-topped shape is similar to a table. This mountain is also featured in the Flag of Cape Town.

The popular tourist activities on this mountain are hiking, rock climbing, caving, or just sightseeing using the cableway to the top. The view from the top of Table Mountain has been described as one of the most epic views in Africa. From the top of the mountain, we can see Lion's Head (the name of another mountain in South Africa), Signal Hill, Robben Island, the Cape Town city centre, Table Bay, and Devil's Peak.

What an amazing view!
