The fishing stakes in Wales

by Tian Danyang
(Harbin, China)

If you boat or swim in the water region of Teifi Estuary in Wales, you will never know the issues about what the underwater stones are used for. From our perspective, they are just ordinary nature-formed stones.

With a Google map, however, archaeologists analyzed the characteristics of these underwater stones and have made studies of what on earth they consist of and they made a surprising conclusion.

Actually, these stones were constructed by huge manmade fishing stakes in the past 1,000 years ago or so. The stones at one time were used for trapping fish as the tide went out. Although as time has gone by, they have already sunk into the mud, and nets could be seen from the Google map in the shape of a spear.

I am very surprized to know that kind of landscape are made by humanbeings who want to catch the fishes.I think this kind of idea is very good, but maybe very greedy.
