What can I do during my 2 free days after climbing the Gotemba Trail?

Gary: Thanks for the great resource on Mt Fuji. I have scoured your website and am stoked for my trip late August.

My question for you is for the couple of days I have AFTER my climb. I am flying to Narita and staying near the airport for night 1. Then I will make my way to Gotemba where I have a hotel reservation for night 2. The next day I am heading up the Gotemba route and staying at the 7.9 station hut (reservation already made). The next day after the descent I am going back to Gotemba for another night (Friday) at the same hotel as before.

My question is what to do with the remaining 2 days of my trip? My flight home to Oregon is Monday afternoon from Narita. My desire would be go somewhere quiet and relaxing like a hot spring. I know I will be very tired and walking around Tokyo does not sound like fun after a climb.

Do you have a suggestion on a place I would go for a relaxing stay on Sat. and Sun. night that is also easy to get to with public transport? I would need to be able to start my way back to Narita Monday morning so I could make my afternoon flight.

Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks much - John
