What options are there for a 3-day, 2-night climb of Mt. Fuji?

(Singapore)

Has anybody tried 3 days and 2 nights on Mt. Fuji? I happen to have 2 consecutive nights booked on station 8 mountain hut. Perhaps if the weather isn't good on the 1st night, or i could summit twice if the weather is good on both days. Is that a good idea?

How 'bout this Plan 3 option?
by: Gary Wolff

This Mt. Fuji climbing guide shows 3 different climbing options, including a Plan 3 for a 3-day, 2-night climb:

You may wish to keep in mind that Japan's actual highpoint is the Kengamine Peak (elev. 3776 m), NOT the top of the Yoshida Trail as many climbers mistakenly assume. Also, the Ohachimeguri summit loop trail requires 90-120 minutes to hike around, depending on the weather.

Happy trails & thanks for visiting my site...
