How I knew the country Saudi Arabia

by Yuki
(Japan)

In my memory, the first time I knew Saudi Arabia was about 11 years ago, in 2002, the year of one of the biggest soccer tournaments, the FIFA World Cup in Korea & Japan.

I knew the country because at that time I was collecting the stickers of an album of the players playing in the soccer tournament, and there was Saudi Arabia.

When I saw its flag, I was a little bit surprised because it looks totally different from the others. It is all green with unknown letters in the center. I think it is the only flag I know with such design until today.
