My Favorite Music in America

by Yoshihide Danjoh
(Musashino, Tokyo, Japan)

I love American rock music. For example, I like "Vampire Weekend" & "Death Cab For Cutie." The reason is that American rock music is completely different from Japanese rock music, in that American rock has both magnificence and delicacy points.

Although I want to go to America all the time, I have never been there. If I can go to America, I want to search for the roots of American rock music.

Thank you for reading.

American rock music

Thanks, Yoshihide, for introducing me to those American rock bands. Have you ever heard of ZZ Top? They're my favorite rock band and are also from my hometown, Houston.

ZZ Top is also popular in Japan. Here they are advertising for a Honda car: http://garywolff.com/subdir/photos/10-24_22.jpg

I recommend your first stop in America be the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum in Cleveland, Ohio: http://rockhall.com/

It features exhibits on the history of rock music, as well as of all the rock star inductees in the Hall of Fame there.

Best wishes for visiting America very soon !

Gary
